Jewish Roots in the Galilee

Tsfat and Pki'in

We will start our day in the holy city of Tsfat, visiting its citadel, ancient Jewish quarter and the artist's quarter.  Tsfat is best known for its Golden Age in the early sixteenth century, when it was a most important spiritual center in the Jewish World.  Visit its coloful ancient Batei Knesset and shops, and hear the stories of the city of air and Kabala.
After a scenic drive through the lush mountains of the Upper Galilee we will reach the town of Pkiin, nestled in the hills. We will explore this charming  village,  known for its harmonious lifestyle, where Druze, Jews, Christians and Muslims have lived together peacefully for centuries.  We will visit the town square, ancient synagogue and visitors center and then we will see the cave above the  town knows as Rashbi’s cave.  Pki'in will open a window right into the Israel  that most tourists have never seen nor heard about.
